Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re sure you have questions about shipping your vehicle. We’ve done a dang fine job curating some of the most common ones you might have. That said, it still might not be here. If that’s the case, don’t hesitate to call us at 775-800-8585 or email us at info@xpel1.com

Is Xpel1 a broker or a carrier that has their own trucks?

We are a full service logistics company. At Xpel1 we work with many professionals who are contracted with us to deliver exceptional service and satisfy all of your transportation needs.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Cash, Check, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp.

How much does it cost?

There’s a lot of factors that go into this. How far is the trip? Is it an open enclosed delivery? What’s the make and model? The year? To get the best estimate, just complete our FREE QUOTE submission form and we can get the best estimate to you as soon as possible.

How long does this process take?

It all depends on the place of export and the place of delivery. To find out the exact time, we recommend contacting a relocation specialist.

How much time in advance should I book?

The sooner the better. Our best bet is that you book at least a week in advance.

If you are in a rush, we do offer expedited delivery services. Be sure to talk with your relocation specialist about that.

Is my pickup or delivery date guaranteed?

It isn’t. But we’re generally right on target. Depending on the areas we are picking up or delivering to, we do request a small window of days to get your vehicle where it needs to be.

Do I have to be there for the pick up or delivery?

You or someone you trust (must be 18 years of age or older) should be present to inspect the vehicle’s condition and sign the bill of lading.

When and how is my vehicle going to be picked up and delivered?

One of our representatives will call ahead of time and arrange for delivery date and time. On the agreed day and time, the driver will come to the pick up location and load the vehicle onto his trailer. As the driver approaches the destination they will notify the client ahead of time to arrange for delivery.

Can I put or leave personal belongings in my vehicle?

Yes you can! Per DOT regulations, you can put up to 100lb of personal belongings in your vehicle while it’s being transported.

Can I track where my vehicle is?

Yep! Just give us a call or drop us an email and we’ll be able to provide a status where your vehicle is and an update-to-date ETA.

What if my vehicle is inoperable?

Most likely! Let us know up front. If your vehicle can still roll, steer, and break properly, it should still be a go.

Is my vehicle fully insured during transport?

Yes it is! We have contingent cargo insurance to make sure that your vehicle is protected from the unpredictable. Minimum required cargo coverage is $250,000 for every truck!

Does size matter?

Of course it does. Bigger vehicles require us to utilize “oversize” vehicle transport.
